What the hell is a birth poster?
A birth poster is a decorative poster developed by a Swedish mother that allows us to immortalize the birth details of our child as part of our home decor. With the poster, we can always return to that fleeting moment when the child was a newborn, the small beginning of life.
The baby in the poster has been deliberately made very expressionless and simplified so that it can represent every baby, reflecting and emphasizing their size at birth. Although the baby in the picture is universal, it is still very personal to the recipient because it is scaled 1:1 to the child's birth length. Under the picture, everyone can add other birth information such as weight, birthday, date of birth and place. Oh and of course the name!
The birth poster has gained a lot of popularity and become known worldwide, so many others, including myself, have started to create versions of it. I also see the competition as a good thing because each version is its own work of art, from which the customer can choose the one that suits their own style.
A praised gift
A birth poster is also a very popular gift for a godchild, for example, or why not as a gift for the birth of a child. This poster almost invariably evokes a lot of emotions because it is a memory of such a big moment, which is why I dare say that it is also a gift that will almost certainly find a place in every home.
In memory of a child
As children grow up, the board often becomes important to them as well, as it helps them internalize their own growth. My own little ones, twin girls Isla and Mila, were born tiny premature babies, so they were exceptionally small when they were born. Now that they are almost three years old and we look at all the siblings' birth posters together, we often have conversations about how small they were, and above all, how big they are now. These posters can go with our children when they move out of the house, or stay on my wall to remind me of how lucky I am to have each of them born.

My version
After the first draft, my own drawings of the birth poster have been created frequently, so you can find many different birth posters in my online store. My birth posters have the Design from Finland label because they are the imprint of my hand and are made in Finland.
